Terms of Use

Estimates, honestly labeled.

What Gradus is

Gradus is an independent study tool for tracking course grades and estimating GPAs, including estimates under published application service and university grading scales. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC), OMSAS, OLSAS, ORPAS, or any university, school, or ministry of education. Nothing Gradus shows is academic, admissions, or professional advice.

The official number governs

Every grade, GPA, and conversion Gradus displays is an estimate computed from the numbers you enter and the published scales we cite. The application service or institution named on your transcript makes the official calculation, and their number governs. Rules change between application cycles: always verify against the current cycle's official documentation before making decisions that depend on a grade or GPA.

Provided as-is

Gradus is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted availability. We work to keep the math correct and the sources current, and we publish the date each scale was last verified, but you use the estimates at your own judgment.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gradus and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the tool or from decisions made in reliance on the numbers it shows, including application outcomes. In any event, total liability is limited to the amount you paid to use Gradus in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that applicable consumer protection law does not allow to be limited.

Your data

Your grades stay in your browser by default. What little leaves your device, and where it goes, is described in the privacy policy.

Acceptable use

Don't misrepresent Gradus or its output as official, scrape or resell the service, probe or overload the AI endpoints, or use the tool to violate someone else's privacy. We may limit or block access that abuses the service.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the product evolves; the effective date below always reflects the current version. Questions: ukugregory@gmail.com. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario.
