OMSAS GPA calculator for Ontario applicants.
Every Ontario med school routes admissions GPA through OMSAS. OMSAS routes it through the OUAC Undergraduate Grade Conversion Table. This page shows what your GPA would look like on that scale, live as you enter grades.

How OMSAS calculates GPA
The rules, straight from OUAC OMSAS Instruction Booklet.
- OMSAS converts each individual course grade to a 4.0 point value using the OUAC Undergraduate Grade Conversion Table. Trent falls on Scale 3 (percentage grades).
- Course grades are converted first, then credit-weighted (a 1.0-credit Y course counts double a 0.5-credit H). Never average percentages and convert the total · OUAC calls this out explicitly.
- OMSAS calculates three sub-GPAs: your two most recent full-time years (wGPA), your best two years, and your cumulative. Program requirements vary; some schools use only one.
- Repeats, withdrawals, and audit courses are handled per OMSAS policy · this tool does not model those exclusions.
- Once you submit your OMSAS application, OMSAS produces the official numbers from your transcript. Never send this tool's output as if it were the OMSAS result.
This is an estimate. OMSAS does the official calculation on your application.
The math here mirrors the OUAC Undergraduate Grade Conversion Table (Trent = Scale 3). Each application service applies its own inclusion rules · repeat courses, course loads, program-specific exclusions · which this tool does not model. Always cross-check against your target program's admissions page and the current application cycle's booklet.
